Become a Friend of the Embudo Valley Library. Support library operations and programs with a tax deductible gift.
Completing Your Donation is Easy! Here’s How It Works:
If you have questions about the process, email email@example.com. Our Vehicle Donor Support Team is available seven days a week and will be happy to assist you. During the call, please have the title in hand to make the process even faster.
The Embudo Valley Library relies on volunteers to accomplish its mission, providing daily library service and programs to rural residents. Last year over 900 circulation hours were contributed to the library by volunteers. Our main volunteer position involves a 2 hour weekly shift, greeting people, helping with searches, checking items in and out, and shelving. This allows staff to work on other projects such as cataloging, or program development.
We also have more specialized tasks we need volunteer help to accomplish. If you are interested in volunteering for the library please call 505-579-9181 to schedule a time that works best for you. Thank you!
Like many public libraries, we have limited space. However, we are happy to receive your donation of recent, high quality books. Please bring them into the library so we can sort them. Newer books in good condition will be added to the collection if they seem to fit our demographic. Older books, duplicate copies and most paperbacks will be sold to make money for the library. Please, no textbooks, encyclopedia sets, damaged books or VHS tapes.
Please call first if you have a large donation of five or more boxes, specialty books (including vintage books) or non-book items such as maps, software, or puzzles. Please do not leave items when the library is closed. You can leave magazines on the magazine exchange rack on the front porch. Thank you for your generosity!
We have an ongoing Book Sale that operates on the honor system in the open air garage building behind the community center (217 Hwy 75, Dixon, NM 87527.) Proceeds from the book sale support the library's core operations.
